  1. Hi, Gerry:

I’m putting together the Culture Ireland grant for the 5th annual Eugene Irish Cultural Festival and am including you in it. Hopefully they will fund your participation. I was checking to see if you had a web site yet and found your blog.

    I hope you’re having a nice summer,

    Peggy

  5. Hi Gerry, You looked after me and made me welcome
in Galway 28 years ago and I have never forgotten how exciting it was to be in a session with you and Mickey Finn. We travelled to the Roscommon Fleadh in 1980 along with Co Limerick banjo player Tony Dalton and unbelievably you have a photo of this day on this top class web site. Thank you my friend.

  6. Hi Gerry, The web site is beautiful and hopefully will help expand your success and legacy. Per your request for feedback, the site came up quite readily. I could not locate the link from the last photo back to the main page. So I re-booted. Many thanks to the Helzers. After locating my grandmother’s grave in Portlaois recently, the cut on your CD, March of the King of Laois, keeps me connected. I am forwarding your site to a friend, John O’Hare, Flushing, NY as he may find a possible connection. Must have you and the family back in Eugene soon. Can I be of any help to the Helzers? Your photos and history resembles Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan. Congratulations on the site.

  8. Dear Gerry

I just want to thank you for coming to Eugene for this year’s Eugene Irish Fest. The house concert was the highlight for me–I very much appreciated the craft and heart of your music.

With best wishes and many thanks,
